He was a
lifetime member of ACF. His last resident address was 1611 E. 5th St.,
Washington, MO 63090. Floyd played many checker tournaments over the
years up until 2004 which included most of the state and nationals when he was
most active as a strong Major and low Master level player. He won the
Missouri State Championship in 1993. Two
of his last tournaments were:
2004 Illinois State Tournament,
and
2004
Missouri State.
Floyd won the
Illinois State Tournament class "B" in 1991 but
recognized as "Tournament Winner" since only an Illinoisan can be the Champion
which was Dale Heath from Rockford, IL.
